Like stonemasons, dome builders, artisans, painters, calligraphers, etc., Shah Jahan invested thirty-two million capital to create this symbol of love. It was ready by 1635year.

The site of the Taj Mahal is important. As it is clearly visible from the windows of Agra Fort. Do you know that Shah Jahan’s son, Aurangzeb, had captured him and placed under sentence of “Nazar band”? He only able to have sight of the Taj Mahal in the morning from an apartment window that gives him peace and tranquility amidst this painful period. And after his death, Aurangzeb placed Shah Jahan’s body near Mumtaz’s tomb.
